Sources & Methodology
Where every number on this site comes from, how often it is re-checked, and what we refuse to publish.
cs2.mn sources every MongolZ config from three places — the players' own streams, in-game .cfg files, and tournament broadcasts — and re-verifies the full roster on every update, most recently in June 2026. Where a setting cannot be confirmed from at least one of those, it is not published.
| When | Source | Fact |
|---|---|---|
| Jun 2026 | cs2.mn | All 7 MongolZ player configs were last re-verified in June 2026. |
| Jun 2026 | cs2.mn | Configs are cross-checked against 3 independent source types: player streams, .cfg files and tournament footage. |
| 2026-01-15 | cs2.mn | cs2.mn has published under the same editorial policy since launching on January 15, 2026. |
| Jun 2026 | Steam Web API | Inventory and Steam ID tools read only public Steam Web API data; no credentials are ever requested or stored. |
How we verify: This page is the methodology itself. Corrections are applied at the source (lib/data.ts) and the verified date is bumped site-wide, so every page reflects the same audit.
The principles we hold to
The three-source rule
Every setting is confirmed from a player's live stream or VOD, a .cfg file they published, or a tournament broadcast overlay. If none of the three confirms it, we do not publish it — we do not guess.
Re-verification cadence
We update whenever a player is observed changing a setting, and audit all 7 configs as a batch on each site update. The 'Verified' date on every page points at that last audit — it is a real last-checked claim, not an auto-updating freshness badge.
What we refuse to publish
We do not invent author names, expert quotations, or source links. If we can name a source but cannot verify its exact URL, we name it in plain text with no link. Any figure without a named, checkable source does not go on the page at all.
Editorial independence
cs2.mn is an independent fan resource and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Valve. Sponsor or partner links never influence config data — the numbers come from observation, not from commercial arrangements.
The sources we check against
These are the external authorities our config and market data is checked against. We link them directly so you can verify any claim yourself.

Scope, limitations and corrections
What this covers
Crosshair, viewmodel, sensitivity, DPI and resolution for all 7 MongolZ players; pro-settings distribution statistics; CS2 console commands and binds; and the Steam-backed tools.
Known limitations
Pros can change settings without announcing it, so a config may have moved since the last audit. Inventory values are market averages — real trade prices differ by float, pattern and stickers. Skin prices go stale quickly.
Correction policy
Report an incorrect setting with a source — a clip, a VOD timestamp, or a .cfg. Confirmed corrections are applied at the data source and the verified date is bumped site-wide, so every page reflects the same audit.
Who publishes this
cs2.mn is published by The MongolZ Hub team. We publish under the team voice rather than manufacturing the authority of a named author — trust should come from checkable sources, not an invented biography.
